2019 is going to be a year of debate around data and data control. I think we are all going to slowly wake up and realise the value our data has. For example – here is what Chinese e-commerce apps know about their customers.

 

Following on from that – American companies to spend $19bn on 3rd party data.

 

There are some positive sides of data harvesting of course – The Apple Watch EKG can save lives.

 

However my biggest fear is this – Australian governments world-first encryption laws.

 

And finally – VR helps investigate fires.
